Big surprise. The UC Berkeley snowflake students are at it again. They just won’t leave the Berkeley College Republicans alone. A vigil in Kate Steinle’s memory was organized by student Naweed Tahmas, an officer with the club. The vigil was a quiet gathering in remembrance of Steinle shortly after her killer, Jose Ines Garcia Zarate, was found not guilty of murder by a California jury.
The evening vigil was simple and respectful, including flowers and a large poster of Kate’s beautiful face–the poster shown so many times over the last few years. The students set out candles spelling out Kate’s name, and Tahmas said, “Tonight, we remember America’s daughter— Kate Steinle. Thank you to everyone who helped me organize this vigil and for those who took the time to attend. In all the events I have helped organize, this one meant the most to me. We will never forget her name or her story.”
