Federal Judge STUNS: ‘Parenting Deficiency’ Ruling Makes Waves In Sanctuary State

Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum’s office provided the legal muscle to try and rationalize taking children from people the state deemed ‘too dumb’ to raise them. Her office’s work raises questions about what the state of Oregon WON’T expend resources defending, and how expansive they feel their ability to snatch children from parents and legal guardians is.

It’s always sad to hear a story of a state taking children from a family and putting them in a foster home. Anyone who knows the numbers knows that children in foster homes, statistically speaking, are not likely to end up well for a wide variety of reasons. It is worse, however, when a state takes children away from parents for little to no reason.

Now, thankfully, in the case of this Oregon family, a judge stepped in and restored sanity to the situation.  However, the fact remains that the state of Oregon’s Department of Health Services decided that they had the authority to remove Amy Fabbrini and Eric Ziegler’s two children, aged 4 years and 10 months, for no other reason than because the parents are ‘too dumb’ to raise their own children.
