RULES FOR RADICALS – REVISITED
Saul Alinsky usually gets hit pretty hard by conservative pundits who consider him way over the top, un-american (probably was), and all around bad guy.
I’ve never understood this – Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals is nothing more than ramped up local community political organizing when your side is on the outside and wants to get inside.
What conservatives fail to admit is that they are no longer mainstream – and Alinsky & his friends WON (and long term use of his rules helped) and are now controlling the seats of power.
Now we, the good guys, the Confederate Community, has been demonized, marginalized & pushed to the side – we are on the outside looking in. Mainstream? We lost the last vestiges of that in 2015.
But will these rules work for us? If we are ready to start building a movement that consists of more than a handful of wide old men – yes. We must be selective in use of these rules, we are an overwhelmingly Christian community, we are not as ruthless as our enemies (who seek our destruction) and we need to keep our white hats in place — But let’s …
