ALAMANCE COUNTY, NC (The News & Record) – A man is in the Alamance County Jail after police say he lured a woman to a residence and raped and physically assaulted her multiple times.
Around 7:15 p.m. on Saturday, police received a report of a sexual assault at 1240 W. Webb Ave. The victim, a 37-year-old woman, said 27-year-old Jose Alberto Morales lured her to the residence. Once inside, she said Morales assaulted her multiple times which resulted in injuries to the victim and Morales.
The victim was taken to Alamance Regional Medical Center where she was treated for her injuries and released. Morales was arrested at the residence without incident.
During the investigation, police discovered that Morales has been using multiple aliases and dates of birth, including fictitious identification documents that were provided to officers as legitimate identification. Investigators are still trying to establish Morales’ true identity at this time.
Morales was charged with charges of second-degree forcible rape, assault on a female, and first-degree kidnapping.
