SAN ANTONIO, TX (The San Antonio Express-News) – At least four men raped a 15-year-old runaway and kept her at a West Side apartment complex by keeping her high on drugs, according to court records.
One of the suspects, 28-year-old Ray Hernandez Jr., was arrested Thursday on a charge of continuous trafficking of persons. A second suspect, 25-year-old Alfredo Herrera, was arrested later that day on a charge of sexual assault of a child. Both remain in the Bexar County Jail and further arrests are expected.
Police gave limited information on the case Thursday during a press conference. Now, court documents are shedding new light on the abuse the victim suffered.
Hernandez and the victim met over social media and by October 2017 he was selling her for sex to his friends and strangers, the affidavit says. The victim told police she would sometimes return to him even after she was picked up as a missing juvenile.
One of the men who paid to have sex with her, 20-year-old Korey Acosta, eventually partnered with Hernandez and the two worked together to pimp her out, the affidavit says.
