We have sinned against Almighty God.We have allowed ourselves to become lax in our responsibility of faithfulness to Almighty God. We have yielded ourselves to the false gods of self, entertainment, indulgence, sport and riches. We have trusted in the false gods of political and business leaders.The result of our unfaithfulness is that we suffer the trials of a society wrecked by sin, of families tortured and destroyed by demonic role models, and of governments infested with self serving politicians and bureaucrats.We read in Psalm 2, The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, “Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.” God’s response?
