Zuckerberg funded Soros-backed group facing scrutiny over lobbying efforts

(Just the News) The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative gave nearly half a million dollars to a George Soros-backed non-profit facing scrutiny over an alleged failure to disclose its lobbying efforts.
Founded by Mark Zuckerberg and wife Priscilla Chan, the CZI gave $440,000 in grants to the pro-immigration Alianza Americas from 2019-2020, according to the Washington Examiner.
Alianza is facing legal scrutiny over its alleged failure to disclose its lobbying efforts when filing tax returns for those years, the outlet noted. The National Legal and Policy Center filed a complaint with the IRS last month asserting that the non-profit’s own disclosures revealed "extensive lobbying activities," despite claiming on the same documents that they did no such thing. The outlet noted the organization’s more than 200 visits to Congress from 2017-2019 to advocate on immigration issues.
