(Activist Post) UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has announced that the world is falling short on the Agenda 2030 and called for nations to recommit to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
On Tuesday UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres revealed the latest Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Progress Report shows a significant lack of progress. Guterres noted that the world is halfway to the 2030 deadline but only 12 percent of the SDGs are on track to be completed.
The UN SDGs are a collection of 17 interlinked goals designed to be a “blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all.” The SDGs were set in 2015 by the United Nations General Assembly with the intention of achieving them by the year 2030. The SDGs were part of a larger resolution known as the 2030 Agenda, or Agenda 2030, aimed ostensibly at fighting climate change.
Guterres said progress on 50 percent of the goals is “weak and insufficient,” while 30 percent of the SDGs have “stalled or gone into reverse.” He predicted that if the current trend holds only 30 percent of nations will accomplish SDG1, focused on poverty, by 2030.

(Marie Hawthorne, Activist Post) In September 2022, President Biden released an Executive Order on Advancing Biotechnology. Then, in March 2023, he released a document entitled Bold Goals for U.S. Biotechnology and Biomanufacturing, outlining specific areas of focus in this bioengineering manifesto.
The goals in these documents sound very nice. They’re all about using new technology to fight climate change, increase the food supply, cure diseases, and strengthen national security by increasing domestic manufacturing.
Is that really the goal? However, I believe that these goals will be used to grab land from existing farmers and ranchers. Farmers and ranchers need to turn a profit to pay taxes on their land; as actions are taken to achieve these goals all but the largest will be driven out of business. This will occur via a combination of oppressive regulations in the name of climate change, and lawsuits regarding patent-protected crops.
This probably sounds a little crazy, but the crazy people have been getting a lot right lately. Let’s look at these documents and see what they actually contain. Then we’ll look at what this actually means for people involved in food production and some of the precedents that have already been set.

(Brietbart) A video shot by the Texas Department of Public Safety shows the ecological disaster created by the more than 24,000 migrants who crossed the border near Brownsville in just over two weeks. The video shows the trash and waste left behind by the mostly Venezuelan migrants crossing from Matamoros, Tamaulipas, to Brownsville.
DPS spokesman Lt. Chris Olivarez provided a video to Breitbart Texas that he shot while walking along the northern bank of the Rio Grande on Friday. The video captures the images of what is left behind for taxpayers to clean up and remove.

(ClimateRealism) A recent article at NBC news claims that more people are suffering from allergies than ever before due to climate change’s impact on the length of the growing season and pollen production. This may be true, but the framing ignores the obvious benefits of increased plant growth like longer growing seasons for food crops, and expanded forests and lush ecosystems which support pollinators and other wildlife.
The article, “Adults are getting allergies for the first time. Thanks, climate change,” asserts that more and more people in their 30s, 40s, and 50s are suffering from seasonal allergies that they had never previously experienced. The cause of this is supposedly climate change, more specifically, warming leading to the earlier bloom of trees and other plants which, with longer growing seasons, produce more pollen.

(Activist Post) When I moved to Northern California, I observed how a friend kept empty jugs in the bathroom to capture a few gallons of water while she waited for the shower to get hot enough.
She used the water for her houseplants and garden. She had planted her herbs on a slope, organized by how much water each needed.
Her actions were not derived from fear of climate. She did not need to be incentivized by or controlled by an external authority. Her habits were practical, reverential rituals, and acts of devotion to the waters of the planet.
She brought her full consciousness and presence to her choices.
Many EV drivers also feel a sense of satisfaction when they charge their vehicles.
But two scenarios of the water protector and the economic-growth driven EV roll-out (which outsources mining and disposal misery to other nations) are not the same. And neither is the misguided promotion of smart meters.
Environmentalism needs a consciousness reset.
