(The New American) A federal judge has declared a Missouri law nullifying federal gun regulations “unconstitutional.”
The statute in controversy is the Missouri Second Amendment Protection Act (SAPA), which declares as invalid
all federal laws that infringe on the right to bear arms under the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and Article I, Section 23 of the Missouri Constitution. Some laws declared invalid under this act include certain taxes, certain registration and tracking laws, certain prohibitions on the possession, ownership, use, or transfer of a specific type of firearm, and confiscation orders as provided in the act.
The act declares that it is the duty of the courts and law-enforcement agencies to protect the rights of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms:
Under this act, no public officer or state or local employee has the authority to enforce firearms laws declared invalid by the act. However, state employees may accept aid from federal officials in an effort to enforce Missouri laws. Sovereign immunity shall not be an affirmative defense under this act.
Any public officer or state or local employee who tries to enforce the firearms law declared invalid by the act or any person who acts under the color of law to deprive a Missouri citizen of rights or privileges ensured by the federal and state constitutions shall be subject to a civil penalty of…

(Dixie Drudge) Pocket carry is one of the most popular ways of self-protection available today. Gone are the days of the mini-22 and the “mouse-gun.” There are many models of pistol available with capacity and dependable ammunition unavailable just a few years ago.
Why pocket carry? Comfort and convenience. Face it, if a gun is not comfortable to carry, you probably won’t.
Do I love my old Ruger P-90 Stainless & Alloy brick. Of course I do. It’s accurate, easy to shoot and more than adequate for any situation. No. It’s not for sale. But do I really want to carry it all day long in Arkansas August under a Shoot-Me-First vest. Only at an IDPA match. Even then I’d probably rather carry my lightweight commander.
I carry all day. Every day. I learned years ago on the streets of Little Rock and Memphis that victimhood is a poor option.
When I’m Off to Wally-World, a better option is a good dependable compact. My Officer’s model or my P-11 are both likely to sit in a pocket holster. If not, there is a snubby on my person with at least one speed strip.

(Larry Keane, NSSF) Mexico must believe that its lawsuits against firearm manufacturers and firearm retailers are on legal life support. The country is now turning to the United Nations’ Ninth Conference of States Parties (CSP9) to the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) to spread outrageous and false allegations about the American firearm industry.
Francisca Elizabeth Mendez Escobar, the Permanent Representative of Mexico to the United Nations Office at Geneva, addressed the U.N. ATT conference. That’s the U.N.’s effort to control the international arms trade to ensure arms aren’t falling into the hands of criminal warlords, terrorist organizations and separatist groups looking to overthrow governments.
U.N. Failure The track record of this treaty is dismal. Take for instance the Taliban, which benefitted by seizing all the small arms left when President Joe Biden ordered the hasty withdrawal of U.S. forces, leaving behind $7 billion in arms equipment, including more than 250,000 automatic rifles, 95 drones and more than a million mortar rounds that require little training to use. That’s not to mention the 35 ongoing armed conflicts in Africa, 21 Asian armed conflicts, seven in Europe and six in Latin America. Just last week, the United States intercepted 2,000 Iranian rifles destined for Yemen, which is languishing from an ongoing civil war.
To listen to Mexico, the illicit international arms market is not just the fault of U.S.-based firearm manufacturers. They allege it is the very product of these…

(Red State) When a recent mass shooting took place on the campus of Michigan State University, leaving three dead, there were only two directions for the public discourse to go. Either we’d find out the shooter was white, therefore sparking a discussion on white supremacy (regardless of the person’s motive), or we’d find out the person wasn’t white, therefore sparking a discussion on guns.
Sure enough, police released surveillance footage of the shooter within hours, and it became obvious how things were going to go. The shooter’s background and motive were no longer relevant. All that mattered was the gun, a narrative push quickly adopted by everyone from MSNBC hosts to The President of the United States, the latter of which confusingly brought up “assault weapons” that hold “50, 70 bullets” in response to a shooting done with a handgun.
Facts don’t matter, though. All that matters is setting off another moral panic, and now liberals are calling for a new civil war over guns and judges…

(AmmoLand.com, Florida) Now that 25 states have passed constitutional carry laws, there are millions of law-abiding Americans who have chosen to exercise their Second Amendment rights by carrying a defensive firearm, either openly or concealed, without permission slip from the government.
Unfortunately, federal law has not kept up with the national constitutional-carry movement, especially the Gun-Free School Zones Act of 1990. (GFSZA ) The Act prohibits possession of a firearm within 1,000 feet of a school – of school property. Motorists who drive by a school likely fall well within this 1,000-foot gun-free zone.
The GFSZA does not recognize constitutional carry or any other form of permitless carry. There is one exception: gun owners who possess a valid concealed-carry permit or license issued by their state are exempt from the law. To be clear, constitutional carriers are not.
To comply with the GFSZA, permitless carriers are supposed to stop before they enter the gun-free zone, unload their firearm, and secure it in a locked container or rack within their vehicle. If they do not comply and are caught, the GFSZA is punishable by a $5,000 fine and up to five years in federal prison.
In the mid-1990s, the U.S. Supreme Court found that the GFSZA was unconstitutional because Congress had “exceeded its authority under the Commerce Clause.”
President Bill Clinton turned to his Attorney General, Janet Reno, for a…
