(Washington Times) – Americans have been sending lawmakers at all levels an unmistakable message that they are losing patience with an entrenched political class that looks increasingly like overlords instead of public servants.
Although some politicians seem to be responding to the rising public clamor for change, there will be no serious attempts at reform until the voters back it up with consequences.
Unlike our amazingly out-of-touch elites, many Americans are worried about crime, the astounding and unprecedented increase in illegal immigration under President Biden, the explosive increase in homelessness in major cities, the cracks in the supposedly fabulous economy, an observed decline in moral values, and other issues.
Among the most vivid examples of this collapse into chaos are, of course, big cities such as New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Seattle and Portland, Oregon, which have become hellscapes.
