It underscores the urgent necessity for Texas to reassess its ties with a federal government so willing to infringe upon the constitutional rights of its citizens.

Despite minor amendments intended to slightly curtail its scope, the renewal of FISA permits the continued warrantless surveillance of Americans—something that alarmingly occurs under the guise of targeting foreign threats. These actions starkly illustrate the ongoing neglect of the Fourth Amendment rights of American citizens, a core issue that the Texas Nationalist Movement firmly opposes as we advocate for the protection and respect of Texan citizens’ rights through TEXIT.

Former accusations labeling the Brexit campaign’s NHS funding promises as falsehoods have been dramatically overturned. The UK’s spending on health and social care post-Brexit has substantially exceeded initial promises. (Newsweek) – A leading Texas independence campaigner has argued the ongoing migrant crisis, including warnings that some migrants have become “more aggressive towards law enforcement,” demonstrate the need for the Lone Star State to leave the Union.

The claim was made to Newsweek by Daniel Miller, president of the secessionist Texas Nationalist Movement which campaigns for Texan independence, or Texit. It came after NewsNation revealed a memo from the Texas Department of Public Safety (TDPS) to border control guards warning that “migrants have become more aggressive towards law enforcement as they attempt to circumvent the border barriers and enter the U.S.”

Over the past few months illegal migration into Texas has sparked tensions between federal and state authorities. Earlier this month footage of migrants pushing their way past a razor-wire fence and National Guard troops to enter the U.S. in El Paso, Texas, went viral on social media leading Governor Greg Abbott to dispatch another 700 troops to the border as reinforcements.

Speaking to Newsweek in response to the TDPS’s warning about some migrants becoming more aggressive, Miller said: “These migrants know there will be no federal consequences for their actions while they continue to be supported and enabled by the Biden administration.

(Wired) – A RUSSIAN DISINFORMATION campaign is deploying everything from high-ranking lawmakers and government officials to lifestyle influencers, bloggers, and powerful state-run media outlets to stoke divisions in the United States around the Texas border crisis.

WIRED has also obtained exclusive access to data from two separate disinformation research groups that demonstrate a coordinated Russian effort on Telegram and X (formerly Twitter) to sow discord by pushing the narrative that the US is heading for civil war.

(Ryan McMaken, The Mises Wire) – The idea of secession for some regions of the United States—sometimes simplistically called “national divorce”—has increasingly been mentioned as a way to deal with the apparent growing divide between what are crudely called “red states” and “blue states.” Polls suggest that perhaps a third of the American population “indicated a ‘willingness to secede’”

Vehement opposition to the idea remains plentiful, however. Among the writers of the pundit class, any number of arguments are used to claim that secession is not desirable or moral, nor even feasible. Many conservatives, for example, rely on the standard conservative jingoism, arguing that secession is unconstitutional and “treasonous.” Conservative nationalists and moralists insist that all US residents have some sort of duty to support a unified state.

Social democratic supporters of the regime often use a different strategy. They insist that secession cannot be tolerated because the people who advocate for secession are racists and fascist barbarians and cannot be trusted with self-government.
