(WEAR TV) – Pensacola’s Confederate monument case is heading back to court this month.
A hearing is scheduled for Aug. 25 to consider holding the City of Pensacola in contempt for violating an earlier restraining order.
The “Ladies Memorial Association” originally sued to stop the removal of the Confederate monument at Lee Square, resulting in the restraining order.
The city removed the case to federal district court, where it was dismissed.
If the group’s motion is successful, the monument could be restored until the rest of the case is resolved…
