(Montgomery Co News) – At the annual Conroe Founder’s Day Event, all the Rebel Joan Of Arc Docents gathered before the grand commemoration in the home parlor of Isaac Conroe, now owned by the City of Conroe, which has now turned the historic home of their Founder into their City Transportation Office. The Annual event is still held at this Historic Site, and a Texas State Marker marks its prominence and location.
Artist-Sculptor RJOA LYN HAWTHORNE HOWARD is a self-taught sculptor and has worked diligently to provide this gift to the City of Conroe and to her community.
What a generous donation and remembrance to the City to Conroe.
As the Rebel Belles pose with the Clay Sculpture, ready for the foundry, they saluted its Artist and the Founder/Organizer/MC of the Conroe Founders Day, LYN HAWTHORNE HOWARD! Lovely LYN poses next to her creation, with her Rebel Sisters gathered in “Period Dress” for this important remembrance. It is ironic that above LYN’S Head is the Framed picture of Isaac Conroe…
