Buddy Holly was a true original who help establish the roots of Rock and Roll as well as the beginnings of the modern Texas music scene. Buddy paved the way for the outlaws that followed. His was a short life with an impact way beyond his years. Who knows what history had in store if he hadn’t swapped places with Waylon Jennings for a seat on that flight. The plane crash in Clear Lake, Iowa was truly “the day the music died.”
