Where I live I use a lot of snake shot. I know there is a keyboard commando out there always says water moccasins shouldn’t be shot and I don’t know what I’m talking about. That they won’t harm us, blah, blah, blah… He obviously don’t live on an island in the swamp and doesn’t know that sometimes they are aggressive, irritable, and a damned nuisance. Let him go hug them with rattlers, coyotes, razorbacks, and the rest of his forest friends.
I have run through 5 boxes of .38 CCI snake shot in a single year out of necessity and that wasn’t because I missed. It get’s expensive, so I started rolling my own with #8 shot and a 36 round ball. I load my first two cylinders with these dual purpose rounds They work wonders on snakes and will stall aggressive hogs until you get to a chamber with a magnum soft point in it.
