The Sons of Confederate Veterans waved and passed out confederate flags at the weekend parade.
(Dallas Morning News) A St. Patrick’s Day parade in Fort Worth was billed as a celebration of Irish heritage with a Western twist.
Yet some videos posted to social media show a decidedly different scene, with dozens of confederate flags waving from the parade and along the route.
Sons of Confederate Veterans carried the rebel flags in the parade Saturday in the Fort Worth Stockyards, as some members passed out smaller flags to children and other parade-goers. Cheers can be heard as the group is introduced as a patriotic and non-political group.
