REBEL JOAN OF ARC UDC VISITS PRIVATE COLLECTION ON LOAN TO HERITAGE MUSEUM

(The Montgomery County News) – The beautiful Belles of Rebel Joan Of Arc 2721, United Daughters of the Confederacy, gathered at the Heritage Museum of Montgomery County to view the special private collection of Confederate artifacts and memorabilia on loan to Heritage Museum by their members. The personal collections belong to RJOA JENNY LEHR and RJOA ELAINE COLLINGS who were proud to share their collections with the public, for all to enjoy! This collection has been on display for a few months at the Heritage Museum and we hear the Museum received many positive accolades on the display! Besides the large Glass Lit Cabinet filled with such lovely assortments from the 1860’s, there is a long table behind the ladies filled with more not seen. The last newspaper before Vicksburg fell, is hanging on the wall behind a bunch of lovely heads, and the First National Flag posted with it.
