Poll: Majority Say Mainstream Media A ‘Major Threat’ To Democracy

(Daily Wire) According to the latest New York Times/Siena poll, a healthy majority of Americans believe that democracy is under threat — and over half of those who believe democracy is at risk say the “mainstream media” presents a “major threat.”

This is Not America: Political Censorship Campaign Unconstitutionally Targeted Millions of Americans

(El American) The United States government is unconstitutionally targeting millions of Americans for their political speech by directly contracting with private ‘third parties’ that flag their viewpoints for alleged ‘misinformation.’
The federal government has contracted with at least five private companies or public non-profits to ‘flag’ Americans’ views on everything from Covid-19 to the 2020 election.
In an editorial at Just the News, John Solomon and Greg Piper reported on four of these groups, but the report suggests that the radical left’s operation to chill free speech is just the tip of the iceberg.

Big Development in Legal Battle Against ‘Zuckerberg Boxes’ Used to Boost Dems in 2020 Elections

(Trending Politics) A legal battle over a charity heavily funded by Meta/Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, the Center for Technology and Civic Life (CTCL), which intervened in the 2020 election to place ballot ‘drop boxes’ predominately in Democrat-heavy districts, is being taken up at the Michigan Court of Appeals.
The lawsuit revolves around four Michigan voters who have been trying to sue the State of Michigan’s Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson for “dereliction of duty” by allowing private funding to interfere in violation of the Michigan Constitution and Election Code.
Michigan’s court had dismissed the lawsuit earlier because it would not move to issue a decision that might ‘interfere’ with the November election in 2020. The court did, however, rule that it could be taken up post-election for review. After the election, however, the Secretary of State has moved to block the case from proceeding by arguing that the voters lack standing.

FBI’s use of news stories in seeking the Russia FISA warrants against Trump adviser Carter Pages was sharply criticized by the internal watchdog of the Justice Department.

(Just the News) Like the Russia collusion FISA warrants before it, the FBI search warrant for Donald Trump’s Florida estate relied on multiple news media reports from outlets such as Breitbart and CBS to justify its unprecedented request to raid a former president’s home.
For instance, the bureau relied on a local CBS report to establish that Trump had moved boxes suspected to contain documents from the White House to Mar-a-Lago in mid-January 2021, just before he left office, according to the partially redacted FBI affidavit made public by a court Friday.
"According to a CBS Miami article titled ‘Moving Tucks Spotted At Mar-a-Lago,’ published Monday, January 18, 2021, at least two moving trucks were observed at the PREMISES on January 18, 2021," the memo related.
Another citation referred to a Breitbart article from May in which former Trump adviser Kash Patel was quoted as saying he did not believe documents found at Mar-a-Lago and returned to the National Archives and Records Administration were classified. To Help Biden, FBI Interfered With 2020 Election

(Daily Signal) As if the FBI’s reputation were not already in tatters, we have yet another bombshell, courtesy of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, about FBI malfeasance during the 2020 election.
It turns out that the FBI used its previously concocted Russia hoax as an excuse to pressure Facebook to censor the factually correct Hunter Biden laptop story, which the New York Post broke.
In an appearance Thursday on “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast, Zuckerberg admitted that Facebook suppressed news of the laptop and its contents in the weeks preceding the 2020 presidential election, after FBI agents requested to meet with Zuckerberg’s staff to deliver dire warnings of a supposed dump of Russian election “misinformation.”
Although Zuckerberg said he couldn’t recall whether the FBI agents specifically mentioned the Hunter Biden laptop story in their warning, he said the story “fit the pattern” that concerned the FBI, so he sprang into action and suppressed the story…Read the rest
