Gnosticism is the ancient heretical ideology behind today’s transgenderism and abortion movements
(Deception.News) The Gnostic belief that the soul is divorced from the body may explain progressive support for both transgenderism and abortion. It’s not a coincidence that those who believe that gender identity is divorced from biological reality are also likely to believe that a human fetus is not a human being. Both are at odds with basic biology and the Judeo-Christian roots of our civilization but congruent with the dogmas of the ancient mystical faith of Gnosticism.
(Article by Ethan Peck republished from HumanEvents.com)
Gnosticism is an esoteric religious movement with Platonic and Pagan influences that grew out of early Christian and Jewish sects beginning in the 1st century AD. Though regarded as heresy by the majority of Christians and Jews, Gnostic beliefs have influenced various religious sects, ideologies and philosophers over the last 2,000 years. More recently, and relevantly, Gnosticism served as the foundation for the ideas of Hegel, Marx, Marcuse and other neo-Marxists; and by extension, has substantially influenced the current-day mainstream left.
The central thesis of Gnosticism is that each individual is…Read the rest

Why did Census undercount some red states, overcount blue? One lawmaker demands answers
Rep. Troy Nehls says the errors cost Texas a congressional seat, vows an investigation, calling the miscount "deeply concerning for the legitimacy of our Democracy."
(Just the News) he U.S. Census Bureau admits it undercounted populations in five Republican-led states while overcounting people in six Democrat-leaning states, a disparity one congressman says cost Texas a congressional seat to which it was entitled.
Rep. Troy Nehls (R-Texas) told Just the News he is demanding answers from the population-counting agency because the disparities uncovered by the 2020 post-enumeration survey show errors in counting large enough to impact the tools of U.S. representative democracy, such as electoral votes and congressional apportionment.
"The numbers don’t lie," Nehls said. "Texas was undercounted by 2%, which means we were cheated out of an additional seat in Congress. And four other Republican states were as well. As a result, these red states have less representation in Congress, fewer votes in the Electoral College, and therefore receive less federal funding.
The Census Bureau earlier this year said a post-count analysis foud the 2020 census undercounted populations in five red states — Arkansas, Florida, Mississippi, Tennesee and Texas…Read the rest
I purposely try to keep political commentary to a minimum on the blog. I swore off politics long ago to level out my blood pressure. But just every once in a while current events make me feel a lot like Michael Corleone must have felt.
“Every time I think I’m free, they suck me right back in.”
Corruption, vote buying and arm-twisting in Washington are nothing new. However, every once in a great while a crew comes along that elevates public bottom-feeding to a new low. When this happens the cynic in me naturally wants to speak out. So, in a spirit of bi-partisan benevolence and therapy, I offer these great political revelations that it took decades to learn and that generally apply to both major parties.
When a politician gives you a check, don’t wait. Run to the bank before all the other people who got checks can get there. The last one to a teller always loses.
Yes, politicians want your vote, but they want your money more.
Politicians never spend their own money. Why should they when they have so much of yours lying around?
If you find such a rarity as an honest politician, stay away from him. Like a rogue lion, the mythical honest politician can’t be out-guessed. The regular, crooked politician is more predictable and much safer. (So is the rogue lion.)
Politicians regularly lie about being honest politicians. (See #4) Edwin Edwards of Louisiana was the only one I remember who told the truth about it. Remember what the truth got him?Incarceration.
Mr. Smith goes to Washington was a movie. When the real Mr. Smith goes to DC, any Jimmy Stewart tendencies are discarded at the sight of the first cocktail waitress willing to enjoy your money.
“Women and children first” only applied on the Titanic. In Washington, it is “Interns and cocktail waitresses first.”
If a tree fell on a politician in the forest, the only sound you would hear is the scream of the last person that tried to cash his check. (See #1.)

Award-winning journalist missing since FBI ‘seized classified docs’ in home raid: report
(NY Post) An Emmy Award-winning ABC News journalist who broke several high-profile national security and terrorism-related stories has gone missing since the FBI reportedly seized classified information from his laptop during a raid on his Virginia home, according to published reports.
James Gordon Meek, a 52-year-old investigative reporter and producer of Hulu’s acclaimed documentary “3212 Un-redacted,” has not been seen in public since heavily armed federal agents raided his penthouse apartment in Arlington in April, according to Rolling Stone.
The magazine cited “sources familiar with the matter” as saying that federal agents found classified information on Meek’s laptop computer.
Meek’s attorney, Eugene Gorokhov, told Rolling Stone: “Mr. Meek is unaware of what allegations anonymous sources are making about his possession of classified documents.”
“If such documents exist, as claimed, this would be within the scope of his long career as an investigative journalist covering government wrongdoing,”…Read the rest

New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell allegedly living in posh city-owned apartment, not paying rent
New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell seen staying at Upper Pontalba Building in Jackson Square
(FOX) New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell, who has been under fire for her jet-setting lifestyle as crime plagues the city, may have also been living rent-free in a pricey, city-owned apartment.
The Democrat, 50, has allegedly been using a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment in the French Market Corporation’s Upper Pontalba Building in Jackson Square as a personal residence. The unit has a fair market value of nearly $3,000 a month.
The mayor’s comings-and-goings from the apartment were the subject of a two-month-long investigation by FOX8 New Orleans, which last week reported to have combed through more than 600 hours of surveillance footage.
The outlet found Cantrell at the apartment nearly every day over a 26-day period, often staying for hours at a time and sometimes staying overnight…Read the rest
