A PERSON’S "IDEOLOGIES AND CONTEXTUAL BEHAVIORS" COULD CLASSIFY THEM AS A VIOLENT EXTREMIST

(Blacklisted News) A recent DHS/FBI/NCTC “U.S. Violent Extremist Mobilization Indicators” booklet warns law enforcement that violent domestic extremists are just biding their time to attack them and our democracy.
The first sentence in the extremist indicator booklet claims that the U.S. and ‘other Western nations’ face a heightened threat of violent extremists but never backs up those claims.
The latest extremist indicator booklet differs greatly from previous ones by attempting to flag a person(s) based on their ideology.
“Previous editions of this booklet have focused solely on the indicators of homegrown violent extremist mobilization to violence; this edition has been expanded to include indicators that apply to multiple ideologically-motivated US-based violent extremists, given the evolving complexity and variety of factors influencing the domestic threat landscape.”
By asking law enforcement to look at a person’s ideology and flag anything they deem suspicious, we run the risk of becoming like China and Russia; countries who arrest people based on those very things…Read the rest

Biden Extends George Bush’s 9/11 “National Emergency” After Creation Of DOJ Task Force To Combat Domestic Terrorism

(Activist Post) The Biden administration has quietly perpetuated the state of ‘national emergency’ that was initiated after the 9/11 attacks, which were carried out by Islamic terrorists twenty-one years ago this month. On Tuesday, the White House declared the alleged ongoing state of national emergency by referring to the 2001 terror attacks:
The actions of persons who commit, threaten to commit, or support terrorism continue to pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States. For this reason, the national emergency declared in Executive Order 13224 of September 23, 2001, as amended, and the measures adopted to deal with that emergency, must continue in effect beyond September 23, 2022. Therefore, in accordance with section 202(d) of the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1622(d)), I am continuing for 1 year the national emergency with respect to persons who commit, threaten to commit, or support terrorism declared in Executive Order 13224, as amended.
The perpetuation of the national emergency comes amid accusations by rank-and-file FBI agents that the Biden administration is “exaggerating the threat of White supremacists and pressuring agents to cook up domestic terrorist cases involving racist extremists.”…Read the rest

DHS wants to continue its “disinformation” work, flag “falsehoods” to social media platforms
"The Department must be able to address the disinformation threat streams that can undermine the security of our homeland."

(ReclaintheNet.Org) The Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS’s) controversial “Disinformation Governance Board” was recently shut down after First Amendment concerns but the DHS seemingly still intends to continue its “disinformation” work.
A recent report from the Homeland Security Advisory Council’s “Disinformation Best Practices and Safeguards Subcommittee” states that while “there is no need for a separate Disinformation Governance Board..the Department must be able to address the disinformation threat streams that can undermine the security of our homeland.”
The report was produced after DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas asked the subcommittee to make recommendations for how the DHS can “most effectively and appropriately address disinformation that poses a threat to the homeland while protecting civil rights and providing greater transparency across this work.”
In the report, the subcommittee provides a broad definition of disinformation, outlines how the DHS detects and mitigates information that falls under the scope of this definition, and provides the subcommittee’s recommendations.

DHS releases final DACA regulation, allowing more migrants to become ‘Dreamers’
Since the beginning of the program, DACA has allowed over 800,000 young people to remain in the country

(ADN America) The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released a final rule for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program on Wednesday amid several threats of litigation against it.
The DACA program, established in 2012 by the Obama administration, allows undocumented migrants that arrive in the country as minors to live and work in the U.S., creating a pathway to citizenship. The children in the program are more commonly known as Dreamers.
“Today, we are taking another step to do everything in our power to preserve and fortify DACA, an extraordinary program that has transformed the lives of so many Dreamers,” Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas said.
“Thanks to DACA, we have been enriched by young people who contribute so much to our communities and our country. Yet, we need Congress to pass legislation that provides an enduring solution for the young Dreamers who have known no country other than the United States as their own,” he added…Read the rest
