Ron Paul: Americans Suffer From Natural and Government-Created Disasters

(NOQ Report) Last week Congress passed a continuing resolution and then adjourned until after the election. When Congress reconvenes, it will almost certainly pass a multi-billion dollars aid package for those impacted by Hurricane Ian. This spending will likely be labeled “emergency,” so Congress members will not even have to pretend they are offsetting the new spending with cuts in other, lower priority programs.
The failure of Congress to offset spending on disaster relief with cuts in other programs is one reason why I always voted against disaster aid when I was in Congress, even when the spending was for disasters that occurred in my district. Of course, I also opposed these bills because disaster relief is unconstitutional and immoral as are all other income redistribution programs.
When I voted against disaster relief, my office would receive angry calls from constituents. However, within several months many of those constituents would call back to say that after dealing with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) they realized that disaster victims would be better off without federal “help.”

Over 70% of workers say inflation is outpacing their salary: survey
Minorities reported feeling the largest impact on their financial wellness as inflation hit record highs.

(Just the News) Seventy-one percent of American workers say the cost of living is outpacing their salary, according to a new Bank of America survey.
The survey was published Tuesday in the commercial bank’s annual Workplace Benefits Report, which also found that 48% of respondents are concerned about not being able to make ends meet amid high inflation.
The new findings follow the bank’s report in February that showed roughly 58% of respondents were concerned about the cost of living outpacing their wages.
The survey was conducted July 5-July 19 among 478 full-time employees with a 401(k) plan.

Report: Inflation Will Cost Average American Family $11,500 This Year

(Information Liberation) "Americans are set to pay an extra $11,500 this year if they want to enjoy the same standard of living they maintained in 2020, according to new estimates from NerdWallet," The Epoch Times reports.
From The Epoch Times:
The estimates, published in August, were based on inflation and annual spending data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). Analysts at the personal finance company looked at how spending would compare this year to 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic began.
Analysts said 2020 was the "last full year when inflation was relatively stable." In that year, the U.S. inflation rate was 1.23 percent.
As of August, inflation in the United States stands at 8.3 percent, according to BLS data…

Giant Homeless Encampments Set to Explode Across US

(NOQ Report) Worsening inflation (stemming from endless fiat currency money printing) is causing food, energy and housing to become unaffordable for millions of Americans, putting them on a trajectory of homelessness and destitution.
Right now, homeless encampments are expanding in cities like Los Angeles, Atlanta, Philadelphia and Oakland. The situation is bound to get far worse as inflation accelerates and people find themselves jobless due to plummeting economic activity while manufacturers downsize operations.
All across America right now, people are moving out of (unaffordable) apartments and rental homes, and moving into RVs or campers. Many of these people have jobs yet still can’t afford to save enough money for a down payment on a home. As economic conditions deteriorate, many of these people will move from RVs to cars or trucks… and then eventually to tents on the street. There, they are largely forgotten by the very same bureaucrats who promised them jobs and government assistance. Those are also the same bureaucrats who created the very problems that cause homelessness in the first place, such as worsening inflation by handing out stimulus money… or forcing small businesses to shut down over “covid” claims.
The controlled demolition of America is well under way.

(Economic Collapse) Have you ever wondered why we just keep getting hit by one thing after another? I grew up during a time when it seemed like America was endlessly blessed, but now everything around us seems the opposite of blessed. Our economy is imploding, inflation is out of control, the housing market is starting to crash, our weather patterns have gone completely nuts, the western half of the nation is enduring the worst drought in 1,200 years, we are dealing with three major pandemics simultaneously, we are losing our proxy war with Russia in Ukraine and it looks like war with China is just around the corner, and on top of everything else our political system is failing because liberals and conservatives deeply, deeply hate one another. And if you think that there is hope on the horizon, you are going to be severely disappointed. The current crop of politicians in Washington is the worst that we have had in our entire history, and all of the “solutions” they give us just seem to make matters even worse.
This weekend, I came across a very intriguing article in the Jerusalem Post entitled “Is God punishing the United States of America?”
