Abrams has been involved with multiple left-wing groups and individuals that support anti-police causes
(FOX) Georgia Democratic gubernatorial nominee Stacey Abrams took a shot at county sheriffs throughout the state while proclaiming her support of law enforcement during a Sunday night debate against Republican Gov. Brian Kemp.
During an exchange between the two, Kemp attacked Abrams for past comments she’s made which seemed to suggest that she supported defunding the police, despite never explicitly stating it.
Miss Abrams on CNN got asked the question, would she defund the police? And she said, ‘Yes, we have to reallocate resources.’ That means defunding the police. She proposed in 2018, eliminating cash bail," Kemp said before repeating his endorsement of 107 county sheriffs across Georgia.
Abrams shot back that she was not a member of the "good ol’ boys club" of 107 sheriffs who, she allegedly, "want to be able to take Black people off the streets, who want to be able to go without accountability." …

(FOX) CNN and MSNBC spent much of 2021 labeling Georgia’s Republican-passed Election Integrity Act as the next Jim Crow, but record-breaking turnout in the Peach State has essentially debunked the once-popular liberal narrative.
Democrats and their allies in the media repeatedly argued that the law was a racist effort to deny people the right to vote, especially minority Americans, and could push U.S. democracy off a cliff. But during the second day of early voting in Georgia this year, the state saw a 75.3% increase from the second day during the 2018 midterms and a 3.3% increase over the second day of early voting in the 2020 presidential election, according to the office of Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger.

Sheriff: $172K Worth of Fentanyl Discovered at Georgia Mailing Facility

(BREITBART) Approximately $172,500 worth of fentanyl tablets were seized by authorities at a mailing facility in Gainesville, Georgia, on Thursday.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) noted in a Friday press release that a K9 unit alerted officers during a routine check of a package being shipped to Oakwood from California.
When drug agents opened the package, they discovered about 575 grams of fentanyl in a package concealed inside the original box.
The sheriff’s office noted that while drug agents have seized methamphetamine and marijuana in past searches, this is the first time they have discovered fentanyl.
Authorities are currently investigating the identities of those who sent the package and the recipient. No arrests have been made…Read the rest

Hurricane Ian strikes Cuba, strengthens to Category 3 as it targets Florida
A life-threatening storm surge, hurricane-force winds and flash floods are expected in parts of western Cuba overnight and into Tuesday

(National Weather Serv & FOX) Hurricane Ian strengthened to maximum sustained winds of 125 mph as the storm slammed Cuba’s western tip, where authorities evacuated 50,000 people.
The National Hurricane Center said in an advisory early Tuesday the storm had strengthened to a Category 3 hurricane that was moving over western Cuba.
The Cuban government said Ian made landfall in the village of La Coloma early Tuesday morning.

Chatsworth man sentenced to 5 days in jail for defacing Confederate veterans monument

(Daily Citizen) A Chatsworth man has been sentenced to five days in jail and the balance of 12 months on probation after pleading guilty to defacing a public monument in connection with the spray-painting of the Confederate veterans monument outside the Murray County courthouse in July, according to District Attorney Bert Poston.
Ryan Dean Nichols must also pay court costs and surcharges, perform 60 hours of community service work, complete alcohol and/or drug abuse treatment and submit to random alcohol/drug screens as directed by probation.
Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp 938 erected the monument more than 20 years ago.
A Chatsworth Police Department incident report said that around 9:17 a.m. on July 19 an officer responded to a report “that someone has damaged one of the stone monuments in front of the Superior Court building located at 121 N. Third Ave.”
The officer found someone had painted a vulgarity on the Confederate veterans monument outside the courthouse…Read the rest
