Liberal dark money network quietly launches gun group to create ‘narrative that guns make us less safe’
Project Unloaded, housed in Arabella Advisors dark money network, recruited social media influencers to push anti-gun messaging
(FOX) A left-wing group aiming to shift public opinion against firearms quietly launched at the largest liberal dark money network in America, Fox News Digital has found.
Project Unloaded, an anti-gun group, hopes to create a "new cultural narrative that guns make us less safe" by undertaking campaigns targeting teens and young adults, according to its website.
"Research shows that teens and young adults are forming opinions and making decisions about guns, Project Unloaded’s website states. "Through creative and cultural campaigns, Project Unloaded establishes safe spaces for open conversations about guns and provides accurate information about gun safety to inspire the next generation to choose on their own terms not to own a gun."

Supreme Court Showdown on Censorship Ahead

(AMAC) A staggering 99% of Twitter employees who make political contributions give to Democrats. It’s almost as lopsided at Facebook and Alphabet (the parent company of Google), according to Federal Election Commission records.
Relying on these left-leaning tech platforms to be even-handed was always naive. But recent evidence — email correspondence between Big Tech executives and some 45 Biden administration officials — suggests a danger even bigger than Silicon Valley bias. Government is actually calling the shots on what to censor. The U.S Constitution bars government from censoring, so Team Biden has deputized Silicon Valley to do its dirty work.
The complicity between the Biden administration and Big Tech should frighten all Americans. It’s like a vice tightening its grip, snuffing out freedom. That makes reining in Big Tech even more urgent. On Sept. 16, the opportunity arrived.

UNC schools used AI program to surveil students’ social media accounts

(Carolina Journal) A recently published years-long investigation by the Dallas Morning News has revealed that many colleges and universities throughout the country used or have been using Artificial Intelligence to monitor students’ social media and email accounts.
The investigation by DMN, in conjunction with the Investigative Reporting Program at UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism, revealed that many colleges and universities utilize an AI technology company called Social Sentinel to monitor students’ speech in social media forums and in some cases, their email accounts. According to the report, at least 37 colleges have used Social Sentinel over the past 7 years.
Social Sentinel was founded in 2011. The technology was acquired in 2020 by Navigate360, LLC, a private company headquartered in Ohio.

US Is Set to Audit Its Online Manipulation Campaigns

(NOQ Report) Last week, Colin Kahl, the undersecretary of defense for policy, ordered a report of the online influence operations by the military for a review by the White House by October, in what appears to be an effort by the Biden administration to stop or, at the very least, account for the extent of such operations – according to a report by The Washington Post.
Back in 2020, The Post reported that Twitter and Facebook employees warned the Pentagon of the existence of fake accounts suspected to be created by the US military. A Facebook executive contacted the Pentagon’s head of influence operations policy, Christopher Miller, about the accounts, noting that foreign adversaries are likely to know the origins of the accounts, given that Facebook employees were able to.
The two social media platforms removed about 150 fake profiles, some masquerading as media outlets, that they suspected were created by the military for psychological operations, aka psyops. The US has long accused Russia and China of such operations…Read the rest

Big Tech Ramps Up Censorship in Wake of Biden’s ‘White Supremacy’ Summit

(Information Liberation) Big Tech unveiled a host of new AI-based censorship and narrative-control schemes as part of Joe Biden’s White House summit on the "evil" and "sinful" nature of his political opposition (all of whom are white supremacists and domestic terrorists)….
YouTube, Twitch, Microsoft, as well as Facebook and Instagram’s parent firm Meta announced on Thursday that they would monitor and remove allegedly hateful and extremist content after President Joe Biden made a speech portraying white supremacy as rampant in the US.
According to a White House website, YouTube will expand its removal of content “glorifying violent acts” and will launch a campaign to help young users identify the “manipulation tactics used to spread misinformation.” Twitch will make it easier for users to report “hate and harassment,” Microsoft will use artificial intelligence to “detect credible threats of violence” from those who use its products, and Meta will partner with the Middlebury Institute…

Lessons From Biden’s Disinformation Board Debacle

(Activist Post) President Biden’s campaign to banish (or maybe outlaw) political paranoia took a wallop last spring. In April, the Department of Homeland Security proudly announced that it had created a new Disinformation Governance Board. The following month, the board’s chairman resigned, and Biden administration officials claimed the board was being “paused.” But it remains in the wings awaiting the White House summons for an encore performance.
Thought police by another name
From the start, the Disinformation Governance Board looked like a political caricature dreamed up by people who never appreciated either Monty Python or Orwell’s 1984. Given the Biden record, it was unclear whether the new board will be fighting or promulgating “disinformation.” After controversy erupted, an unnamed DHS spokesperson told the Washington Post: “The Board’s purpose has been grossly mischaracterized; it will not police speech…. Its focus is to ensure that freedom of speech is protected.” Geez, why didn’t the Founding Fathers think of adding a clause to the First Amendment creating a nefarious-sounding government agency to ride shotgun on the nation’s media?
Team Biden expected applause and deference when they announced the first disinformation czar for the board, Nina Jankowicz, a 33-year-old Bryn Mawr college graduate who was hailed as an “information warfare expert.” Jankowicz had the type of resume that made the Washington Post swoon — a Fulbright scholar, a graduate degree from Georgetown University, and “stints at multiple nonpartisan think tanks” — all of which were coincidentally progovernment — thus proving that Jankowicz herself was trustworthy…Read the rest
